Author Tracy Cooper-Posey has done it again. We once again visit the Country of Vistaria, which has been overthrown and is noe being run by an unscrupulous and violent man. Meanwhile the members of the former president's family, which number many, with the help of Loyalist must learn to fight a guerilla war. They must learn to fight on the run, to find shelter and food where they can and even live through a hurricane. While some do the hand to hand combat others are trying to unofficially get help from the US president and others for funds to back the loyalist by providing much needed guns helicopters and other supplies. We meet new characters and ones we've known from the beginning of The Vistaria Affair series. Here we meet strong women who are there to support their men in battle in anyway they can. Others who are learning to fight, shot guns, live from day to day, how to jump trains and even live through mother natures hurricane . The one who teaches them must be a hard taskmaster and through hard work, some hate for each other, they learn to fight as a team. But here we also find a sudden and surprising respect and sexual need that slowly becomes more. I don't like to give spoilers so this is all I'm going to be saying. Once I started reading I didn't put it down till I finished it.
